Kenia De Armas

Lead Supervising Paralegal

Kenia De Armas serves as the lead paralegal at the Hemans Law Group. She was born in Havana, Cuba.  She received her Accountant Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Havana and is a licensed Florida Notary Public. Coming from another country, she understands the hardships families endure to pursue their freedom in the United States.

Her vast experience in the field of immigration has given her the opportunity to understand different aspects of Immigration Law. She joined The Hemans Law Group in 2021 and has remained committed to our client’s expectations since day one. It has given her the privilege to assist families to achieve their Immigration dreams. Kenia has also worked with Attorney Hemans since 2019.

She manages a variety of cases ranging from Family Petitions, Removal Defense, Asylum, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Naturalization, and Adjustment of Status before USCIS and Immigration Court. She plans to pursue a Certificate in Paralegal Studies to allow her to increase her knowledge of the Law.

She enjoys spending her free time with her family and also loves to read.

Nassima Heille

Reception/Operations Assistant

Nassima Heile serves as Operations Assistant at The Hemans Law Group. When you call our office, it’s her cool, calm and collected voice that answers the phone! She is also the warm smile that greets you when you visit our main location in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. She is a full time student pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies. She can usually be found at the library reading and doing homework. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she hopes to attend law school and become an attorney one day.

She states that “of course, my passion for immigration law is no surprise, as half my family has immigrated from Morocco to the United States to live the ‘American dream’ as we like to call it. I aspire to be the change I want to see in the world, and that’s why I love coming to work every day!”

Brianna Roberts

Billing/Operations Assistant

Brianna Roberts serves as the Operations and Billing Assistant at the Hemans Law Group. She proudly identifies as a first-generation American born to Jamaican parents. As a true trailblazer, Brianna embarked on her collegiate academic journey at the age of 15, pursuing a dual major in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Criminal Justice at Florida International University (FIU). She aspires to continue her education at FIU Law to become a practicing attorney specializing in immigration, family, disability, and employment law.

Brianna’s tenure with the Hemans Law Group commenced in 2021 as a legal intern. Her dedication, passion, and hard work have left an indelible mark on the team. Beyond her academic and professional achievements, what distinguishes Brianna is her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact. Her favorite aspect of being part of The Hemans Law Group is the opportunity to be an agent of change and actively contributing to the betterment of numerous lives.
